FAQ
Questions around the structure of the temple
How long has the Soul Temple been in Bremen?
The ATMA MANDIR has been in existence since August 2017.
What makes this temple a universal place of transformation?
The ATMA MANDIR is a very special temple because it was created far from mental planning. It was the plan and desire of the Divine from the very beginning to help people on their journey from Self to Soul. The ATMA MANDIR is a rare "Parihara Sthalam Temple". These are very powerful and not only places of peace and worship, but rather places of healing, liberation and resolution of all kinds of (karmic) issues. The ATMA MANDIR is also a "charging station" for our human being. Here many things, such as the 5 elements within us, can be brought back into balance and harmony.
In the Atma Mandir I find different lingams and statues. What religion is the temple associated with?
ATMA MANDIR is a Universal Nature Temple and is not affiliated with any religion. Its origin is Vedic in nature - long before man created religions. The temple is open to all who wish to visit.
What is the centre of the Soul Temple?
In the centre of the ATMA MANDIR are the 9 planets (Navagrahas). They are considered to be the representatives of the most elementary laws of nature. Traditional Indian astronomy and astrology (Jyotish) has its origins in the ancient Vedas and states that the position of the 9 planets at the time of our birth is of crucial importance. For a peaceful and harmonious life, it is important to balance the strong influence that the 9 planets have on our lives. This can be done in the Temple. In addition to the 9 planets, the ATMA MANDIR also contains the 27 lunar constellations or stars (Nakshatras). The Nakshatra, in which the moon is at the time of our birth, is our birth star. There are only three other temples in the world (all in India) where all 27 Nakshatras and all 9 planets can be found.
